One score per city, every day
A daily index recalculated continuously from live observations — the score can move through the day as conditions change. Each city's Climate Health Score (0–10; 10 = extreme exposure) is the worst of its ten hazard pillars, plus up to +0.9 when several independent hazards are elevated at once (compound risk). Bands: Low <3 · Moderate 3–5 · High 5–7 · Very High 7–8.5 · Extreme 8.5+. The public score is capped at 10.0; when several cities sit at the cap during a severe event, they are ranked by an internal un-capped severity value — the city furthest beyond the top of the scale lists first. The un-capped value is the identical calculation without the final clamp (worst pillar + compound uplift; e.g. a city can compute 10.3 and display 10.0). It exists only to order tied cities — it is never displayed, and it is not a clinical risk score.
The heat pillar (deep model)
Built from today's feels-like maximum (apparent temperature — heat + humidity together), plus weighted add-ons: night-time minimum (tropical nights ≥20° block recovery; ≥25° is treated as dangerous), humidity ≥55% at 30°+, UV ≥8, ozone ≥120 µg/m³ (heat-smog interaction), and persistence (2–3 consecutive days ≥33° feels-like). The composite score is environmental only — no demographic weighting is applied (a separate city-level vulnerability layer is on the roadmap). Risk-group views apply multipliers on top (elderly ×1.18, outdoor workers ×1.10 +UV, athletes ×1.12 +humidity, children ×1.05).
Mobi Doctor heat alerts
These are Mobi Doctor's own modelled alerts — branded as ours precisely because they are not official warnings — for official heat warnings always check your national meteorological service or Meteoalarm, Europe’s official warning aggregator.
Modelled on national-style thresholds over the next 48 h: RED ≥38°, or ≥36° with nights ≥23°, or ≥32° with nights ≥26°, or feels-like ≥40°. AMBER ≥34°, or ≥32° with tropical nights, or feels-like ≥36°. Yellow ≥30°.

Medication intelligence
Storage and travel guidance activates when a city's forecast crosses 27°, intensifies at 30° and 35°. Content follows manufacturer storage ranges (e.g. insulin in-use ≤30 °C/28 days; adrenaline auto-injectors 15–25 °C, never refrigerated) and standard hot-vehicle heating curves (~+16° over ambient within 30 minutes).
Honest limitations
City-point measurements; national (not city) age structure; modelled indices are indicative, not surveillance data; pollen is model output, not station counts; flu uses climatology pending live ECDC integration. Roadmap: live pharmacy opening feeds, hospital-load data partnerships, ECDC/EFFIS live feeds, push alerts, all-season validation.
All atmospheric inputs are model output (CAMS ~11 km for air quality and pollen; national weather models for temperature), refreshed continuously; scores recompute on each refresh.
